A Steady Hand at the Northwest OKC Chamber
Leadership transitions are a test of institutional strength. The Northwest Oklahoma City Chamber is passing it.
The Chamber’s board moved quickly following a leadership change, appointing Lori Callahan as Interim CEO effective February 1. It’s the kind of decision that signals an organization that knows what it needs: continuity, trust, and someone who can keep the work moving while the longer search plays out.
Callahan brings a background in organizational leadership and community engagement, which is exactly the profile you want in an interim role. The job isn’t to reinvent anything. It’s to hold ground, support members, and give the board the runway to find the right permanent leader without pressure distorting the process.
Board Co-Chair Taylor York put it plainly: steady, trusted, experienced. That’s not faint praise. That’s a description of someone the organization already believes in.
The search for a permanent CEO is underway. Interested candidates can submit a resume, cover letter, and three references to shelley@cadamyconsulting.com.
For the businesses and partners in Bethany and Northwest OKC, the Chamber remains open, operational, and focused. That’s the point.
